On the 12-14 of October the 21st European Elasmobranch Association Scientific Conference took place in Amsterdam, the most important conference for sharks and rays in Europe
iSea participated by presenting two posters of projects that participates. Our common project with the University of Haifa on mapping the sharks and rays diversity through social media and the global study under the COST Action Oceans Past Platform evaluating the attitude of the public towards sharks were presented.
In addition, we visited the reproduction center of sharks and rays a pilot project of WWF Netherlands, Bluelinked, Sportvisserij Nederland, Dutch Shark Society and Stichting de Noordzee. Finally, we participated in the Mediterranean Working Group discussing and exchanging ideas for advancing shark conservation in the basin.
