The coastal cleanup of Karambournaki in Thessaloniki was successfully completed on Thursday 25th of May at 9:30 am.

The coastal cleanup was an initiative of the volunteer citizen group “My City, Me !! I make it beautiful. AND MY LIFE! “, with the participation of iSea, PROTEKTA Stavroupolis-Pavlos Mela-Kordelio-Evosmos, Epomea Pilea-Chortiatis, Armenizo sailing for people with disabilities in NTH, 1st Primary School of Kalamaria and the support of Municipality of Kalamaria and the Municipality of Thessaloniki. At the end of the cleanup 40 bags of waste were collected, including pieces of plastics and polystyrene, pieces of nets and ropes, plastic bottles, even clothes, which pose a serious threat to the marine ecosystem.
