BECOME A CITIZEN SCIENTIST

Citizen science is a unique opportunity for everyone to contribute to the knowledge and preservation of our natural environment. At iSea, we believe that every contribution counts and holds value for science and the enhancement of our coastal and marine environments. Recording biodiversity by citizen scientists, whether through observations of marine species or data collection during coastal and underwater cleanups, provides essential information that enhances our understanding and protection of aquatic ecosystems.

Rooted in the principles of the European Citizen Science Association (ECSA)—which promote the inclusion of citizens in scientific research with transparency, collaboration, and respect for nature and local communities—iSea aims to inspire direct citizen involvement, both to contribute scientific data and to foster a renewed relationship with nature. Citizen science plays a vital role in environmental protection through collective effort, open access to knowledge, and shared responsibility for the preservation of our environment.
