iSea goes to Chalkidiki in order to celebrate the…

In the framework of the World Environment Day, on Monday 5/6, we carried out a coastal and underwater cleaning along with the Ocean Diving Center on the coast of Lagomandra, in Sithonia.

A total of 10 reusable bags were gathered and about 20 volunteers participated, including members of the Ocean Diving Center, iSea and employees of Lagomandra Beach Hotels. World Environment Day 2017

The World Environment Day, on June 5, celebrates its 45th anniversary! The day was instituted in 1972 by the United Nations and this year is dedicated to “connecting people to nature”. iSea in coastal cleanup in Karambournaki, Thessaloniki

The coastal cleanup of Karambournaki in Thessaloniki was successfully completed on Thursday 25th of May at 9:30 am.

The coastal cleanup was an initiative of the volunteer citizen group “My City, Me !! I make it beautiful. Informative, awareness raising and coastal cleanup action in Preveza

On the occasion of the International Day of Voluntary Coast Cleanup, iSea, the Eco- cruising, the Association of the Environmental Society of Preveza and the Parents and Guardians Association of the 5th Primary School of Preveza, on September 18, organized joint actions to raise awareness and sensitize young people.

Coastal Cleanup on N. Mixaniona, Thessaloniki

With warm volunteer participation completed the beach cleaning event of iSea on Sunday 14 May at 11:00!

More than 30 volunteers participate to the event, collecting almost 50 kg of marine litter from a small coastal area. Second year of the beach cleaning in N. Chili,…

The beach cleanup of N. Chili, Alexandroupolis was successfully completed for second year and the attendance of the volunteers was increased.

Statement on the recurring incidents of shark fishing and…

iSea would like to express its deep concerns following the recurring shark fishing and display incidents that are published in electronic media and social platforms throughout Greece. Sadly, the above publications contribute to an already grave situation, in which rare and threatened marine and terrestrial species face unreasonable and irrational human violence. Unfortunately, the incidents are more than many, such as the wide publicized poaching of the threatened chamois Rupicapra rupicapra in mountainous Pindos, the deliberate killing of Mediterranean monk seal with a shot gun and the decapitations of loggerhead sea turtles in the Cyclades, and the strandings of dead dolphins, bearing wounds irrefutably caused by sharp instruments.  Read more “Statement on the recurring incidents of shark fishing and their display in Greece” →

Following the widely disseminated incident of the unusual landing of 30 Giant devil rays (Mobula mobular) in Izmir, Turkey, (http://www.hurriyet.com.tr/galeri-40391823) and the reported information, that the fishmongers’ intention is to market the catch, mostly to Greece, we would like to express our serious concerns.
