Press Release: REPOSIDONIA Protecting the forests of the sea
iSea is launching a collaboration with Blue Marine Foundation to protect the precious seagrass meadows in Greek waters by expanding the REPOSIDONIA project in three new areas:
1. East Lemnos,
2. Nisyros
3. Formicula island (Inner Ionian Archipelago).
The project will focus on increasing the scientific knowledge about the distribution, the coverage, the biodiversity, and the health of the meadows as well as estimating the Blue Carbon potential of selected meadows. Finally, through the project, iSea will educate and inform decision-makers, responsible for target management actions for these habitats in each area.
